About Laura Hetland

Laura is the passionate founder of Myco & Meli, a business she launched in October 2022 that merges her love for bees, mushrooms, and natural foods into a unique product line. She is a dedicated bee guardian, water advocate, and strong supporter of sustainable farming practices.

Her journey with honeybees began in 2013 in Hawai’i, where she developed a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of bees and the broader ecosystem. This passion for pollinators inspired her to create The Honey Huntress in 2015, an initiative focused on collaborating with beekeepers worldwide to raise awareness about the importance of pollinators, organic farming, and clean water.

Laura has worked with honeybees in various locations, including Hawai’i, Maui, Wisconsin, and Colorado, sharing her knowledge and dedication to conservation.

In 2019, Laura’s focus expanded after her own experience managing gut health challenges. She became a distributor of Kangen Water, which had a significant impact on her lifestyle, and now shares information about the benefits of Electrolyzed Reduced Water (ERW) based on her personal experiences. This shift motivated her to explore natural and holistic approaches to wellness.

Myco and Meli, Laura’s most recent venture, reflects her commitment to creating high-quality, small-batch products. Her line of raw, creamed honeys is infused with organic mushrooms, herbs, and spices.

The products aim to offer unique blends that highlight the beneficial properties of natural ingredients. Each jar is crafted with care and reflects Laura’s passion for combining nature’s gifts in innovative ways.

As a small-batch, female, and LGBTQ+ owned business, Myco and Meli values sustainability, transparency, and high-quality ingredients. Laura’s goal is to share her thoughtfully crafted honeys while fostering a deeper connection between health, nature, and community.

Laura’s work with bees, mushrooms, and mindful living reflects her dedication to promoting sustainability and well-being through her products and practices.
